Deputy Head of Mission Drammeh receives Gambian Young Pan – Africanist and Chairperson of Young Ancestors Ousman Touray

Washington D.C. October 10, 2024: The Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of The Gambia in Washington D.C. Mr. Yakuba A. Drammeh (Rtd Gen.), on Monday October 7 received in audience Mr. Ousman Touray, a Gambian Young Pan – Africanist and Chairperson of Young Ancestors, at the Embassy in Washington D.C, United States of America.

The purpose of the courtesy visit was to explore ways and means the Embassy could work with Mr. Touray in advancing and promoting the vital interests of The Gambia in the United States of America (U.S.A.), bearing in mind the Embassy’s core mission and mandates in the U.S.A.

Deputy Head of Mission Drammeh warmly welcomed Mr. Touray to the Embassy on behalf of His Excellency the Ambassador. Mr. Drammeh informed Mr. Touray of the Embassy’s unreserved commitment and willingness in facilitating and promoting fruitful bilateral ties and cooperation between The Gambia and the United States of America in all spheres of diplomatic endeavours namely: Political, economic, trade and commerce as well as public diplomacy through cultural exchanges and educational programmes among others. For his part, Mr. Ousman Touray expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality accorded him to work with the Embassy in serving the interest of The Gambia.
